Build the Singapore operation and prepare the ASEAN rollout
MTC helps Chinese groups choose and implement ERP for their Singapore company, connect it with headquarters systems in China, and prepare a foundation that later Southeast Asian entities can reuse.
Operating role, group requirements and ERP scope
The same legal entity can require a different solution depending on its operating role, group architecture and rollout plan.
Singapore entity role
A sales entity, operating company, regional headquarters and ASEAN template pilot need different finance, inventory, intercompany, reporting and support designs.
Group standards retained from China headquarters
Confirm the chart of accounts, customer and item masters, approval rules, group reporting, consolidation and systems that the group intends to keep common.
Singapore localisation requirements
Design Singapore GST, InvoiceNow and Peppol processes, banking, statutory reporting and local approvals as part of daily operations rather than as a late compliance add-on.
Requirements reusable across ASEAN
Separate the group core from Singapore choices and country-specific requirements so later entities can reuse a tested template without copying every local decision.
SAP product fit by operating model and group architecture
MTC compares Business One, Public Edition and Private Edition against the Singapore operation, headquarters system and ASEAN rollout plan, then recommends a proportionate product path.
SAP Business One
A practical option for a growing Singapore operation with defined finance and operating scope. It can connect to group systems in China and support later ASEAN entities through an agreed template and interfaces.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Consider it when the group wants a standard cloud operating model, can adopt fit-to-standard processes and intends to reuse the same template across multiple entities.
SAP Cloud ERP Private
Consider it for a complex group core, an existing SAP landscape, deep process or integration requirements, and a transformation that may use new implementation, system conversion or selective data transition.
The ERP selection guide compares standardisation, group reporting, integration, internal capability and readiness across the available ERP paths.
Coordinate headquarters integration through go-live
MTC manages ERP, Singapore localisation, data, interfaces, testing and rollout preparation as related workstreams within the programme.
ERP and group architecture
MTC reviews the Singapore entity, China group architecture, priority processes, reporting needs and rollout plans before recommending an ERP.
Singapore localisation
The solution covers the group core, Singapore configuration, InvoiceNow and GST processes, approvals, reporting and decisions that later entities can reuse.
Headquarters integration
The scope includes master data, opening balances, open transactions, interfaces, timing, reconciliation and exception handling.
Implementation and go-live
MTC manages configuration, migration, integration, testing, training, cut-over and stabilisation against agreed milestones and acceptance criteria.
ASEAN rollout preparation
The first implementation records reusable processes, country differences, data rules, interface specifications and deployment procedures.
Support across the operating network
Singapore support is connected with MTC teams across 8 countries and regions and the LinkedWorld partner network for additional local delivery coverage.
Singapore operations are designed into the process
MTC brings InvoiceNow, Peppol, GST, banking, approvals and statutory reporting into the ERP workflow and implementation plan from the blueprint stage.
MTC also prepares the solution and project information needed for applicable grant planning. See Globalisation & Localisation for the Singapore solution scope.

China outbound through Singapore · FAQ
Should a Singapore subsidiary use the same ERP as its China headquarters?
MTC compares a common ERP and two-tier architecture against the Singapore entity’s process depth, reporting, master data, interfaces, support and rollout plan, then recommends the model that best connects local operations with headquarters.
Can SAP Business One connect to an SAP system at headquarters?
Yes. The design can connect approved master data, transactions, intercompany processes and reporting between Business One and a group SAP landscape. MTC defines the interface scope, timing, reconciliation and exception handling during the blueprint.
When should the group consider S/4HANA instead of Business One?
Assess S/4HANA when the target requires a broader group core, standardised multi-entity processes, deeper manufacturing or industry scope, an existing SAP transformation, or greater integration and control depth. MTC plans the product selection, data migration and implementation as a managed transition from the current landscape.
Can the project include InvoiceNow, Peppol, GST and grant support?
Yes. MTC includes InvoiceNow, Peppol and GST localisation in the Singapore project plan. MTC helps prepare the solution scope, quotation and project information for the applicable grant activity, and checks the current requirements before an application or a contractual or payment commitment. PSG closes on 29 September 2026; new grant applications move to EDGE from 30 September 2026. Existing PSG submissions and projects continue under their approved process.
How does a Singapore implementation become an ASEAN template?
MTC separates the group core, Singapore decisions and country-specific requirements, then records reusable configuration, data rules, interfaces, tests and cut-over steps. Each later country still receives its own local assessment and rollout plan.
What will an initial ERP assessment provide?
MTC will identify the likely ERP path, the discovery work needed, material headquarters and Singapore dependencies, and the information required for an accurate project investment estimate and phased delivery proposal.
Plan the Singapore operating company within the group system landscape
Share the group structure, current systems, Singapore scope and next ASEAN markets. MTC will identify the ERP options, headquarters interfaces, localisation requirements and information needed for a phased proposal.
